Another puerco-bellies picture thread (wet one this time) Death-2-Dialups WARNING
Alison and I are getting into sea kayaking and did our first beach launch the weekend before last. We took a kodak watersports disposable camera with us and it worked better then I thought it would

Paddling from Cabrillo Beach to very nearby Point Ferman

Around the point below the Point Ferman Park in San Pedro.

Umm.. Alison, was that a shark???

I stuck the camera under water and took these.. That disposable camera rocked!!!

Thanks for looking..

BTW I am leaving for vacation this Friday to Colorado, Yellowstone, Idaho, Yosemite, and many points in between.
You will suffer through more picture threads as I find internet cafe's.

4. That is so nice!
It looks like fun, what I am used to seeing around here is white water kayaking, which looks a bit too daredevilish for me, even though I'm sure that sea kayaking has plenty of risks as well. If I ever make it over to that part of the country I'd love to go.

my user name does seem to have a life of it's own, judging by some gossip that has gotten back to me, but I had no idea I'd been to a meetup in California.

But we've never done this, and aren't likely to now...

I like to see the ocean from the beach!

But thanks for the invite anyway...

7. beautiful photos, I do love the ocean.
However, you are going to have fun in Colorado, Yellowstone, etc.

If you are in Southern Colorado, take a ride on the Cumbres-Toltec Railroad, it is a blast

and give my regards to Yellowstone, I absolutely love that place

11. We might take the skunk train in Durango.
My dad lives in Monte Vista Co and the Cumbres-Toltec runs south of there.

17. our last trip to Colorado, we did both trains,
Cumbres-Toltec and Durango Silverton. Both were quite enjoyable; my husband is a card carrying train junkie so he especially enjoyed it. We would definitely ride the Durango Silverton again if opportunity arose, with better planning so we could spend a night in Silverton and really explore it, but we both agreed we would go out of our way to ride the Cumbres Toltec again. Chama New Mexico was a fun town to explore too.

However, you will have fun on this trip whatever you do.

If you have time and it isn't inconvenient, stop in Thermopolis WY and take a free soak in the state owned hot springs. There is a great little dinosaur museum in Thermopolis as well.

13. Just WOW!
If my husband and I ever get out that way (and we hope to) I want to be first in line! Your pictures are amazing--can't wait to see your vacation pics. I watch the travel channel with much longing and spent the past weekend watching the spots where you're going. Enjoy!
