Partial Update on my Dad:
Just got a text from my brother. They're going to do surgery, go in through the back to clear the kidney blockage, which is causing the infection. No word on the status of the infection, or whether or not they know if he had a stroke or not. I left my cell # with the ICU nurse for the Dr to call me after rounds are done.

8. Surgery this afternoon
On antibiotics, very confused, getting a stent inserted this afternoon. Fingers and toes crossed.

It is so hard being away from family at times like this. Good that your brother is nearby. It helps me a lot to know that my siblings are near when someone has a health crisis.

12. I've had to be away from home during some serious surgeries my Dad had
it's not easy to be sure. Here's hoping all goes well for your Dad and hang in there.

22. I know the feeling.
You know you've pretty much reached your limit, when your emotions temporarily shut down.
You'll probably have a good, cathartic cry when things settle down. That's how I work, anyway.
In the meantime, I'm hoping for all good things for you guys.
