Bumpersticker alert....
Seen on an obnoxious, unpatriotic white Expedition SUV this morning:

THIS HOUSEHOLD SUPPORTS LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT

and

W '04

1. Sorry I must have missed the problem.
I guess the W '04, but what's the problem with Local Law Enforcement?

2. Well, if they're voting for W...
...they DO NOT support local law enforcement.

4. Isn't local law enforcement funded at the State level,
not Federal?

7. exactly
I'm a volunteer firefighter, as I know in my department, in a very RURAL area about 30 minutes away from Pittsburgh, NOBODY is voting for Bush because of what he did to Police and Firefighter funding.

3. Read between the lines
These are the types of people who support Law Enforcement simply because they are Law Enforcement.

5. It's called "framing the message"
These right wing people are really, really good at what they do. I've only read about such masterly propaganda methods in history textbooks. They frame messages and slogans that cannot be answered either way, without losing. Good stuff...

9. This one made me smile:
On an SUV last month, an adhesive Purple Heart medal sticker, an "Airborne" sticker, and a Vietnam Vet sticker, and...

"If you love your freedom, thank a Veteran"

BUT... neatly labelled actoss the bottom of the "thank a Vet" sticker was: "Bush doesn't count, he was AWOL." It was as dusty as the rest of the truck, so it had obviously been there a while.

I don't know if the driver modified the sticker, or if it was done without his knowledge, but I had to do a double-take when I saw it.
