I don't know how to say this, but I've started smoking again.
Last Saturday I got absolutley shitfaced after going to see the Tour de France time trials Partly because of the lovely Bordeaux which I got for 10 pounds, I drank the bottle because the man who sold it to me told me that I should have the entire bottle finished by lunchtime the next day after he opened it, partly because of all the cider and beer I drank at the pub in the accomodation house where I'm staying here in London. Somewhere along the way, I purchased a 10 pack of filterd Lucky Strikes. I don't know if I really did smoke five of them that night, of if somone bummed a couple off of me. My recollection fo that night is hazy.

I didn't touch the rest of the pack till tonight. I found myself having a couple of ciggies before and after watching TV tonight.

I just felt that I had to vent.

1. I'd blame the sneaky Frenchman
that sold you the wine and started the ball rolling.

Better be thankful it was just a few cigarettes this time. Next time it'll be a Jeraboam of Dom Perignon '74 and you'll wake up married to the winemongers' homely sister.

But please don't smoke any more.

2. Hey, I looked it up.
The wine I bought would be going for about 30-35 bucks a bottle back in the States.

I paid 10 quid at the People's village in Hyde park, that's round about $20, give or take a few cents.

I actually got a very good deal. I plan on bringing the bottle back with me as a reminder of how great that wine was. Hell, If I had the money, I'd be booking a Eurostar train ticket to try and fine this winery so I can buy some more to take back home with me.

Unfortunatley, two things are keeping me from doing this, one, my funds are running low, and two, I took German, not French.

14. I threw out my pipe about a year and a half ago.
Yeah, it was a few weeks into the spring 2006 semester when I had to move to make room for someone who wanted a single dorm room after my old Roomate from China moved out.

15. 2005 Chateau Taris Bordeaux
Besides, I think I smoked them outside.

As I said, my memory of that night is fuzzy.

I do remember riding the Underground from Baker Street to Great Portland Street while drunk off my ass. (This was before the beer and cider.)

10. Good on ya!
A winner never quits, and a quitter never wins. :patriot:

Y'know who said that? Ronald Reagan.

W tried to, but it came out, "A winner never ducks, and a duck never... walks like... E I E I O."

16. That's why they
refer to an addiction relapse as "falling off the wagon". You can always jump up and get back on the wagon again. But, the sooner you do it the easier it will be. Jump back on!!

I can't even blame it on alcohol 'cause I don't drink! My quit date is August 1st. Hopefully it was the liquor for you and you won't continue.....
