The Great Office Flood of 2007
Edited on Mon Jul-16-07 03:01 PM by NewWaveChick1981
Yeah, we had that today.... One of the employees was trying to change the giant water jug in the water dispenser and dropped it. :yoiks: The front office was flooded with about an inch of water, and it took a while to clean up. I heard a loud crash, and I honestly thought someone had fallen down the stairs. We had to act fast to get the power cords and other equipment out of the way. The hardwood floors were soaked, and we had to move all of the furniture. The rugs and chair mat are soaked, and they're outside drying now.

What fun....:yoiks:

5. My first day on the job at a deli...
They showed me how to clean the cases by lifting up the front of the case like a hatchback door, then wiping down the inside. Only the case they lifted didn't have 20 jars of mustard sitting on top of it. Oops. I think ALL 20 jars broke and splattered mustard everywhere.

4. I did that at home.
My hands were still wet when I picked up the water bottle and it seemed to leap right out of my hands. Unfortunately the spilled water was the least of my problems as the bottle bounced and smashed right through the dry wall.

The next bottle I put on had a leak that I didn't notice until the next morning when I found the entire contents had run out onto the floor.

I'm currently pricing water filters.

6. Years ago when I was serving
another server was filling ketchup bottles from a big bag of ketchup. If you have worked one of these things you know that you have to take the cap off a new bag and put a nozzle on it, than hang it in a holder on the wall. Well this girl hung it up THAN took the cap off and ketchup went EVERYWHERE. I though it was pretty funny }(
