I like George... Harrison!
I'm reading DU and playing 'All Things Must Pass' which I got for xmas (I'd been procrastinating for about 33 years!), sounds very nice.

2. It more or less...
... could be his greatest hits album (adding a few tunes of course). He had certainly been saving up a lot of songs that weren't making it onto Beatles albums (getting elbowed out by John and Paul) and the quality is really high throughout (I like the Phil Spector production job as well). It's *almost* alt-countryish, if you go for that sort of thing.

The liner notes (re-written in 2000) are a bit ironic though (a blessing to Spector)... George has died, and Spector is up for murder (someone else's!).

Next month they're releasing a box set of all his Dark Horse Records that are out of print; a CD and DVD collection coming out on his birthday.
