The scariest fucking coincidence in my life just happened

Here I am lying awake with my standard semi insomnia due to my hectic life. Only about an hour ago had I just finished watching the movie Poltergeist due to a recommendation. I'm listening to the creek of my fan go back and forth, everything is quiet, calm, and pitch black. I like my rooms dark when I sleep.

The wall facing the road of my room however has a continous stretch of windows, which can sometimes be irritating when people drive down the road with obnoxiously highpowered brights on their car. So here I lay, ruminating over the events of that movie, finally drifting off to sleep when fucking suddenely all the electronics in my room for some reason flip out. My speakers to my computer emit this high pitched screetching noise which wakes me the fuck up, and as I open my eyes I see an amazing swirling pattern of blue lights all around my room chaotically twirling about. "FUCK!!!" I just let that out and was petrified not sure what to do. My heart just skipped, I couldn't believe this was for fucking real. The damn ghosts were coming for me and that was that. My heart literally felt like it was going to burst out of my chest it started pumping so hard for those 3 seconds. I have never been more frightened in my life. This wasn't even as bad as the time I realized I had swim a few hundred feet away from my sailboat in notoriously shark infested waters, or the time I stumbled upon a black bear and her cub.

Well naturally once I realized that no ghosts were coming for me after a few seconds I got out of the bed and looked outside. A cop had pulled some guy over for speeding. Why my speakers and electronics flipped out and made a bunch of weird noises I cannot figure out, but sweet fucking christ, I have never felt such fear. Anyway that concludes my late night shenanigans, g'night.

I'd be petrified too.....

I was just telling someone in a pm that that stuff scares me more than human stuff. I can read books about serial killers all night long, and am right now contemplating going and getting some free cinder block (from a craigslist ad) at 2:30 in the morning...but don't let a ghost show up, or my ass is gone.

is a scary one for me. I woke up a little while ago really freaked out, for no good reason whatsoever.

their radio completely overpowers the little speaker cables, and suddenly you're in a room full of this blasting disorienting noise and there's lights flashing.

When I looked outside, there were three cop cars outside my apartment, of course I'd been :smoke: earlier that night so I thought they were after me.
