Found blood on my pillow this morning.
YIKES!
Did I have nosebleed in the night?
Brain hemorrhage?

Then I remembered I'd bitten my lip while eating supper.
Really took a chunk out.
That must be it.
whew

I ain't gonna die after all.
At least not today.
;-)

1. When I first started taking my current meds
I started finding blood on my pillow and my mouth was bloody.

Without the meds I have horrible insomnia, and even when I slept it was never for more than an hour at a time. But the meds knock me out for half the night, and a bomb couldn't wake me up. I used to spend a lot of time awake at playing with the cats. One of them, Millie Dear, apparently got really upset that I wasn't waking up to play with her.

She had claws. She was snagging my lower lip and pulling to try to wake me up.

It took me a week to figure out what was happening. I started sleeping with a pillow over my head to protect me. She's finally learned not to try to wake me up to play.

:)

2. I've had roommates' cats try to wake me up to serve them.
What I hated most was when they'd bite me on the nose.

3. I hope they didn't bite you hard.
Two of my cats like to do that, but they're always gentle about it. :)

8. That happened to me in college.
I thought maybe I studied too hard and my brain was bleeding.

I went to student health and the phony doctor stuck one of those things in my ear to look around and broke my eardrum. Then it REALLY bled.

Then I went to a real Emergency Room, and the doctor said "who's been sticking what in your ear?"

And I learned never go to Student Health.

9. When I was in college I woke up one morning with purple hands...
I thought surely my blood stopped clotting and I was going to die from Ebola or something...after freaking out for a good 20 minutes, I remembered I had chemistry class the night before and I was working with Silver nitrate and that's what stained them (DUH!). It was pretty embarrassing to walk around campus for the better part of a week with purple hands though :)
