Hello Pittsburghers, past and present!
I am writing a Wikipedia article on the Westinghouse sign -- THE Westinghouse sign that stood on the North Side and (supposedly) had fifteen gazillion combinations. I managed to link up with some guys who had actually worked with the sign but there are still some outstanding questions. To wit:

*when was the sign erected?

*did it stand atop the WESCO bldg or was it mounted on its side?

*does anyone have any "trivia", for instance of the "how many miles of neon" variety?

*does anybody have photos of the sign -- not just in operation at night, but maybe closeup details in daylight, or whatever. Maybe pictures that YOU took and thus could give permission to post at Wikipedia

*any other information?

DUers always come through! Thanks for any info!
