A murder just occured at the Wal-Mart supercenter in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

My other half just returned from picking up some groceries. He tells me that a shooting had taken place and they had just covered the body. News crews were at the scene. Some are saying it was a simple purse snatching gone bad and the victim may be someone who was trying to help.

That's terrible. :(

A man is dead, after being shot in the Wal-Mart parking lot located on McCain Blvd. in North Little Rock.

Police got their first call reporting a purse snatching in the area a little before 2:00 p.m. Sunday. But very soon, they began getting calls about a shooting in a Wal-Mart parking lot. It turns out the two were related -- and we now know a white male was killed.

Witnesses say he was in his late 30s or early 40s. Police have not released his identity. They have told KARK that a suspect, a black male, stole a purse from a woman in the parking lot and then shot another man for reasons unknown at this point. He then got into a passenger side of a getaway vehicle. Police are still looking for him. Some bystanders say that they tried to help the dying man.
