Do you equate "being mature" with being "no fun?"
When I compare myself now to who I was 20 years ago, I see myself as a lot more responsible and mature, but a lot less fun to be around. What about you?

1. My dear bob_weaver...
Depends on what you mean by "fun."

I am more fun than I used to be........and at the same time, I'm more mature and responsible too!

It just depends on the circumstances and what you mean by "fun!"

:hi:

2. No.
I am certainly more responsible and mature than I was 20 years ago, but I can have lots of fun too.

My definition of "fun" may have changed, though. :P

5. That was exactly what I was going to say
'Mature fun' may not include a 3 day hangover, a wierd tattoo, and a court-date - but that doesn't mean it's 'no fun.'

My young self would think my old self is no fun, but my old self knows my young self was an idiot.

3. I use humor to cope with adult responsibility.
I can see how others might find this coping mechanism immature or annoying, but it works for me.

4. Yeah I see "being mature" as having that all that fun years ago.
Now it's time to act your age, get a job, get married and be responsible. I'm trying to do just the opposite though, to have some of the fun I didn't have back then.

6. Let's put it this way:
I consider being "grown up" as knowing when I have to act "mature" and how to do it.

All other times, I shall be as silly as possible. :bounce:

10. One must always
make time for fun, no matter what! Life would be just too boring otherwise. A person can certainly have fun and also be responsible and mature.

15. I could do the same things I did 20 years ago...
but I wouldn't consider it "fun" at my current age. I have lots of fun now, but my younger self probably wouldn't consider it fun. You should be doing what you enjoy and understand those things will change over time.
