18-YEAR-OLD KILLED IN APARTMENT SHOOTING
Friend says victim was beautiful, full of life

Sign and read a guest book for Danielle Lynn "Dino" Weixelbaum
Her friends want everyone to know that Danielle Weixelbaum's life had just begun.

"She was the most beautiful person," said Desiree Hawkins. "Everything about her was just unbelievable. She was beautiful inside and out."

Hawkins said she was stunned when she learned her friend had been shot to death in her east Wichita apartment early Wednesday by a man who had been dating her mother. A 51-year-old neighbor also was killed when a bullet penetrated his apartment wall.

Police said the shooter, Joshua Glover, 21, committed suicide after wounding two Wichita police officers responding to a disturbance call.

Hawkins said the shooting made Weixelbaum's friends realize how short life can be.

2. the mother was only 35
Danielle often talked about her not really having a mother cause they were so close in age...If I am not mistaken, I think her mom had Danielle at 13 or 14

This girl knew she did NOT want to end up like her mother and had plans. She just graduated from High school in May and was planning on college

SUCH a waste

3. The story around that is shocking. A stalker and hostage situation.
With 3 people gone.

There's a discussion here that indicates it was likely not a "dating" situation as much as a possible "hook up" that lead to an obsession.

A sad shame. I am sorry for your loss and for the families of those injured or killed.
