2. What are you talking about? I've seen it loads of times.
Now, it's a bit of a hostage to fortune and all. If you break up, you still have to see your ex every day. But I've known lots of people do it anyway, and it works out for some of them.

Oh and most of them are married. I should clarify, the one that isn't married is sort of disgusting (which may partially explain why he is single) and kind of a jerk.

I don't think I would date a colleague. What if it didn't work out? Then you would have to see them all the time still. No thanks. My social life (such as it is) and professional lives are completely separate.

I work with 13 women of all ages.
They are all involved with their SO's.
I have a girlfriend, who would not like me to date anyone else...

But only if you're in different departments, or what not, so there could never be a question about a conflict of interest. Also, I'd lay some ground rules from the get go. Co-workers date. That's a fact of life. Damn, you spend 8+ hours at the same place every day and depending on the size of the company, might meet more potential dates there than anywhere else.

Ground rules, though. Definitely ground rules.

21. Half the people in my company are married to each other.
Ok not half, but there are at least 4 couples who met here and got married. As long as both enter into it consenting adults, they don't really seem to care if it's done.

22. Well, I married my coworker....
it lasted 13 yrs and neither of us still worked for the company when we divorced so no harm there. I think work is one of the best ways to get to know someone. It's up to the individuals whether they're mature enough to handle the situation.
