Just had a blood screen yesterday, and my cholesterol is at 251. Oops. Guess I'd better start eating a bit better, and getting some exercise.
No advice solicited- my sister is a nurse and she can help me- she recently went through the same thing and managed to bring hers down nicely. I'm just soliciting suggestions on tasty, "safe" foods and munchies. I know I need to lose weight, but it's been quite a while since I needed to focus on it.
I've known this was coming- I've been kicking myself in the ass over it for quite a while, but at my age it's difficult to change, even when you're at the edge of danger. Hopefully I'll be able to dig down deep and find the will to do what needs to be done.
GET YOUR CHOLESTEROL CHECKED. Even if you THINK you're okay, PROVE IT. There's no other way.
On the bright side, my blood sugar screen came back absolutely normal. No diabetes to worry about yet.
