HELP! How does one go about editing a video for YouTube?
This maay seem like a silly question. I have this video recorded and put on my computer, and I want to edit it (and possibly post it on YouTube). Where do I begin? What software do I need? I have Windows Media Player and a few other players.

1. I use AVS video software, it's not free but fairly cheap

it does perfectly well for video editing from windows format (.avi) to a format that is perfect for YouTube
    Recommended format for YouTube videos

  • MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format
  • 320x240 resolution
  • MP3 audio
  • 30 frames per second
I think you can download it as a shareware trial format at www.avsmedia.com

on edit : you can also ask in the computer help & support group for advice as well

2. Check your programs for Windows Movie Maker.
It comes standard with Windows. My husband uses that for his YouTube bass videos.
