who's good at reading schematics?

i need to build a footswitch for a Leslie cabinet.
i can handle the soldering,but i need help deciphering the schematic.
anyone?

I can read schematics, but this one is an oldie!

On the part marked 'footswitch and cables', you're connecting the two tubes 'S2' and 'S3', with the pinouts shown diagrammed at the bottom. I can't read it real well, but it looks like a .01μ cap rated at 1 kilovolt across pins 2 and 4 of S2. 'SW1' and 'SW2' are the switches, with SW2 being a single-pole, and SW1 a double-pole.

Is there a particular part you can't interpret?

To answer your first question.

As to your second question, those are tube-based and, while I can read them to a point, I never did anything with tubes - don't know hardly a thing about them.

3. First off, you don't need to worry about the tubes

As for the switch, you will need the plug to wire to. Which will be the male end of S2. Do you have one of those plugs?
