I saw lots of dead bodies today
BODIES...The Exhibition

A fascinating exhibit on the human anatomy that utilizes real human bides dissected and preserved on display. They show several bodies in full displayed in various poses which a few sections cut away to reveal more anatomy. Numerous organs displayed including cancerous lungs and tissues. What really fascinated me is how they ware able to dissect all the way down to the bare nervous system and circulatory system. You learn a great deal from seeing it right before your eyes than you would in a medical text book. You really develope an understanding of the grand scale and complexity of your body and how fragile it really is. The embryos and fetuses were surprising too as they are a lot smaller scale than depicted by you know who. It's done in a tasteful educational manner and in no resemblance to the touring freak shows of the 1800s. If it comes to your town I highly recommend it.

1. I saw it a few yrs ago
in LA (where I think it first came to the US), and I recommend it as well.

My viewing of the exhibition was worth it just for the horse.

2. I checked it out in Dallas.
It was amazing and nicely done. The internal organ section was informative on what can happen if you do not take care of your body. They also had a great display of arteries in the head.

There is a section with fetuses at various stages of gestation and a pregnant woman. It is separate and can be easily skipped if you want.
