My daughter in St. Paul finally called late last night
She was home, didn't even realize the bridge was out and the phones not working and when the phones began working again was startled to receive a dozen text messages and several calls.
Thanks to those who were concerned. It's very much appreciated.
4. Thank God she is OK, I bet you were a bit on edge?
I wish people would be considerate when a disaster like that occurs. I am sure there was a lot of unnecessary phone use going on clogging the circuits. I can't blame people trying to contact loved ones but I am sure there was also a lot of idle chit-chat that tied up the lines.
I would have posted last night but I was pooped and drained. Kids suck - I always kind of thought that when they grew up and moved out, you stopped worrying about them. HAH!
I am so relieved for you, you'd been in my thoughts since I read that you were worried about her yesterday. So glad for both of you that everything is okay for your family.
