21. Nah, they belong to a friend of my daughter who is trying real hard to get ...
her to take at least 2. Just what a senior in college living in a 400 sq foot apt. needs.

5. So I am going to be adopting one of these two pups...
not sure which one yet.

What do you think?
Should I go with Iggy (she is a Hurricane Katrina rescue)

or Chico

C'mon - place your votes here.....

6. Which one needs you the most?
Is there a particular one that may have a hard time being adopted by someone else?

7. Probably the Katrina rescue dog...
The rescue group brought her back from a kill shelter in March and still does not have a home. She had heartworm issues which they claim have been treated and was also abused in the past.

That is the one I am leaning towards anyway.

10. Why choose?
We just got to FIVE with Jack the Dog from "Last Day Rescue."

They're small. Take them both.

11. I don't think I can take both. I already have one dog at
home. She is old and I don't want to traumatize her too much. She is the only dog I have ever owned, and I am not sure I can handle three at one time.

16. I saw your thread about Jack - and you did a great thing.
I am not sure what your situation is. I would have many animals if someone were home with them for a majority of the day - but alas, that is not the case.

Plus, how on earth can I walk three dogs at once? I know some can - but the old girl I have right now still manages to walk me rather than the other way around.

19. Jack is pretty cool.
We got lucky babe...when he found us...

He walks easy and listens. Deb and I are looking into state and Fed grants for no-kill shelters: we were going to buy property maybe in VA in a few years, maybe we can get a small farm, and who knows?

14. I think it's sorta like kids....
One is like one...and two is like ten!

Here's a thought...The two younger dogs will probably entertain each other and not bother your older dog too much.
Whatever you decide...thanks for saving a pup! :)

18. I also vote both!
I went from 1 to 3 when I couldn't figure out which puppy I wanted, so I took them both! They are mini-dachshunds, so they were small like these 2 you are looking at. Walking them was a trip -- they were each on 1 leash and they would twist and turn so much I ended up with just 1 braided leash at the end. My original doxie Stash loved having the 2 girls around to play with. I am so glad that I got both of the puppies!

I have since lost Stash and one of the girls, Judy, but I still have Ruby who is 10 and a rescue doxie Bandit whom we adopted 6 years ago when we lost Judy. He is now 16! I would like to get another, but we just moved and I need to settle in before adding to my family.

If you are really torn between these 2 get them both -- you will be very happy!

20. I don't know...all this talk of three dogs...
My DH will kill me! He is so NOT a dog person. His kitty got run over about a month ago and he is still in mourning. We will be getting him a new cat around the holidays - he pushed for a proper mourning period. I like cats too - but I LOVE my dog.

My dog is my absolute best friend. She has been relegated to her own bed (on my side) now that I remarried - he could not handle the 50 pounder in the bed. I fear if I come home with 2 dogs he will just flip out.

He really is not into dogs. In fact, I had to convince him that since I leave before him for work that he should let the dog out one last time before he left. His logic - well the dog was used to me letting it our before I left, so it obviously could handle the time. My logic - next time you need to pee, hold it for another three hours.
