STUDENT is so hard up she has decided to make the ultimate sacrifice ...she is selling her virginity to the highest bidder on the internet.

The drastic action has left Rosie's parents sickened. Her doctor dad has told her she "is selling her soul". Her nurse mum is outraged.

If this really upsets them, perhaps they could find some extra cash if possible or get loans themselves. Obviously if they are having a difficult making ends meet or are in heay debt already, this would not be an option. I do know middle class students that did feel desperate and had to work long hours because they did not qualify for a large percentage of aid and their parents were unwilling to help out. I have a coworker who refuses to help her daughter and would be able to some extent even though her daughter has sold all her musical instruments, which she admitted she felt kind of bad about, and is having a difficult time staying in school working full time. Perhaps, that is this girl's point also.
If they really cannot help, I wouldn't have done that. In a way she is getting a good deal though. She probably is curious about heterosexual sex and sees this as a way of finding a partner who she won't have to see again and pay her tuition at the same time.
