3. Looks like the kind of stuff the Nazi's produced....
...to justify their euthenasia programs. Why people get a kick out of that stuff is beyond me.

5. You never saw those 'freaks' paychecks.
I traveled with a carnival for quite a few years and new a lot of the 'freaks'. The majority of them had paid up permanent homes, motor homes, companions to help them with what they couldn't do for themselves and never took a penny of welfare of any kind.

At least until the sideshows were closed, that is.

10. Creepy why?
I haven't seen this movie that's been suggested here, but it looks like this is a person who isn't hurting anyone, nor doing anything wrong.

Is it the particular .gif that's creepy? I think I'm missing something in the translation.

11. The black and white footage combined with
the whole idea of the "freaks" movie. I've never understood the fascination with that, that's why I think it's creepy

12. Ah, so it's the imagery. I agree.
The imagery is kinda creepy, I think, to me, is largely based in intent. I thought folks were kind of getting on the content.

13. My freshman Film Studies class... the prof's way of saying "This ain't high school anymore."
"Freaks," "Clockwork Orange," and "Easy Rider."

Geez. And my friend Linda was up above us all on the catwalks amidst the lights and cables getting drunk alone.

Those were my Dorthy in Oz times.
