OK, so my friend is seeing someone we both used to date

She's a widow, and for some reason is running through a lot of the guys she dated 20 years ago.

I am always a good, patient friend, and wiling to listen to long, detailed descriptions of her dating life.

But now she's seeing someone we both were dating at the same time, back in the day (he didn't know we knew each other). I already feel self-conscious listening to details of her sexual escapades while I'm sitting on the quiet train where people can overhear both ends of a cellphone calls, but with an ex, the ick factor goes even high. (And yes, I've asked her not to call me when I'm on the train, but she forgets, and it's the only time she isn't either at work or with her kids.)

I've tried to be good about this, but when she said he told someone she was "the greatest girl I ever dated" THAT was annoying.

Sorry, just needed to vent.

that is a little bit of a sticky situation there. She should understand it is awkward for you. :hug:

I'd be more than annoyed!
