5. If you're in a Verizon area

You might want to check with them about the low end of DSL. It's only $15 ($14.95) a month. And they provide the modem and the software to get you online quick and easy.

I think that AOL also has a program with local phone companies which costs about $15 as well.

I know how it feels to have dial-up. I dealt with it for over 10 years.

very little money on my own now. I love the internet, but I don't think I need to spend extra money on it.
