Summertime Art and Wine Festivals....wine vs beer

I just got back from a local Art and Wine Festival, where they were selling "starter kits" of wine/beer glasses with tix for two pourings included.

At first I went with the wine starter kit, but then I realized the beer starter kit had a much better deal...so before I started, I went back and switched out to a beer glass b/c they got a FULL glass of beer....vs. 2-3 measly ounces of wine.

Screw that!!

It's hot today and two full glasses of beer later, I'm doing a LOT better, thank you very much.

Now I'm back at home and into my third one, LOL!

I like wine just as much as the next person, but sometimes ya just gotta have a cold beer on a hot day.

And I likes me some good beer!

People seem to think that wine is more 'cultured', and beer is lowbrow. But beer is a complex drink, with a lot of subtlety in its own right.

I like wine but summertime is good beer weather. I love the art and wine festivals - what a great place we live in! :pals:
