2. It should be interesting!

I gotta say I think Bonnie has the edge. Rock might be better in the kitchen, but he was struggling with his menu and he chose to staff his kitchen with all of the idiot guys. I think Bonnie's going to win this one.

Edit: typo

7. Unfortunately, I think Bonnie won't be the winner
I don't want either of them, however.

8. I think it was a particularly weak group this season.
I think Jen was the best of the bunch. Bonnie surprises me with sudden outbreaks of competence, but I don't know if that will be enough. I think Rock's biggest mistake was choosing Vinnie and the mooks to work in his kitchen, though. I guess we'll find out in about an hour and twenty minutes. :)

11. I agree with just about everything you said
I think Jen was the best of the bunch and Julia was the best kitchen manager out of the bunch. I would have loved to see the two go head-to-head.

I knew Jen wouldn't be in the finals, because they never would have edited in the rescuing spaghetti from the garbage, if she would be.

5. Well, I think I know who it is, too
I still think it'll be fun to watch the other person crash and burn.

I don't really want either of them to win. I would have prefered Julia or the spaghetti-dumpster diver to win even.

Thank God, the jumped up cavewoman is gone.

14. Julia sure has the attitude........
like very bitter or what?

I don't like it when women turn on one another, but give men a free pass. That's just the vibe I'm getting.

17. Bonnie
should've kicked her out of the kitchen when Julia refused to do that one simple task. That might've won the competition for her if she had.

20. Julia refused because she was in the middle of dessert and Melissa wasn't
doing anything. I don't know if it was editing, but Bonnie was riding Julia all service - it was obvious she expected "more" from Julia while it looked as if she had given up on Melissa due to the nasty job overcooking the prawns. Melissa was standing behind the table the item to go in the fridge was on, and Julia had asked her to put it away while she kept on preparing the dessert.

I actually think Bonnie was out of line in that instance, she obviously wasn't paying attention to what was actually going on in the kitchen, just focusing on what was in front of her and whatever it was she wanted to prove.
She obviously did not trust Julia above Melissa (WTF was that about?), and editing made it look as if she was riding Julia beyond the others due to, I don't know, her personal feelings about Julia's abilities and dedication?

19. I think it was the editing -- Bonnie was pissing off Jen and the JUC,* too
Edited on Tue Aug-14-07 11:43 AM by LostinVA
*Jumped Up Cavewoman.

And, if I had managed a kitchen for almost a decade, I would have been pissed to have someone with zero hours in a kitchen be in the final two. And, to add insult to injury, have that person say they didn't even want to run the restaurant -- they wanted to parlay the win into a food show. Ugh.

Julia did her service, as did the JUC and Jen. Bonnie wa sthe one who thought acting like GRRR equaled leadership and who ran out of food for her signature dish halfway through service. Something I bet not even the JUC or Vinnie would have done, let alone Julia, Jen, Brad, etc.

Also, Julia, Bonnie, and Jen were joking after service. It was all good.

on edit: My point was that I do NOT think it was "women turning on one another."
