1. Oh yes. He was the only DJ who played anything interesting, for years.
In the early-mid 80s, Detroit got a new wave/alternative station that played Yello, The Cure, Bauhaus, The The, and all of the good music. Mike Halloran used to play great stuff as well, but Mojo was the man.

He spun DMC's "It's Like That" into a seamless 20-minute soundscape that mesmerized me.
