He has had 5 border collies for a while, a lot to keep in the city and exercise at the dog park. But don't people usually get the sheep farm first, and then the border collies?

3. When I met him 5 years ago he had 1 border collie.
Every year he and his gf kept rescuing another one. Pretty soon she was working at the vet- helped with the expenses. I guess they're not having the usual kind of "kids"... :)

4. No. The dogs come first
Then you take them to trials and training and when you see that they love it you know the only way they'll be happy is to give them their own herd. This isn't just border collies, it's almost any herding breed with a strong working drive.

5. Thats what they did.
I used to have a border collie, and I lived in Chicago. Poor thing.

7. And the dogs need to floss their teeth, too.
