mached mangoes with 1/2 the cheesecake batter and then marble it throughout the rest of the cheesecake batter. Yummy.

Besides, you've seen them. If I didn't share, they'd kick my ass! :)

13. Now that I have a big new kitchen
I will be attempting my own cheesecake. I've already tried real fried chicken in a cast iron skillet, which turned out well.

I will also add homemade bread, too!

25. Barry's Law.
As in humorist Dave Barry, who stated in one of his books that the calorie is a unit of taste - which is why chocolate fudge brownies (and cheesecake, and other yummy things) have tons of calories, and celery (which, according to him, was invented as a way to get dip into man's mouth at parties) has none. :shrugs: Works for me.

...is the only food that you actually burn more calories eating than you take in.

...no, "good" is not a sufficient word to describe how delicious that looks...so I shall be forced to make one up (or rip one off of an SNL sketch, either way).

SCRUMTRULESCENT.

That cheesecake looks...scrumtrulescent. :9 I really want some now! :D

26. I'm a purist when it comes to cheesecake.
original for me.

I'll usually eat the gooyest, most bounty-filled ice cream available. But with cheesecake and potato chips - gotta be he original flavor.

38. Maida Heatter's Book of Great Chocolate Desserts has an AWESOME recipe for chocolate cheesecake -
VERY highly recommended!!

Once I made it substituting mint chocolate chips for most of the semisweet chocolate chips - it was amazing. But mint chocolate chips have become impossible to find around here. :-(

I'm thinking of trying it using chocolate oranges to make a chocolate-orange cheesecake -- drool! (or using those chocolate oranges to make homemade ice cream that would be like Swensen's Swiss Orange Chip ice cream - haven't had that stuff in years, but it was incredible!)

39. Merv Griffin had a chocolate cheesecake named after him
There's a place called "Incredible Cheesecake Company" on Adams Avenue here in San Diego. They have about 50 flavors of cheescake and a whole one is about $36. One of the flavors is chocolate cheesecake with chocolate chips throughout it and on top of it. Someone bought one and brought it to a party where Merv Griffin was at, and Merv became a fan of it. He started ordering it himself from Incredible Cheescake, so they named it after him.

42. Excellent, but...
I once took some Trader Joe's Key Lime Cheesecake and used it as "icing" on a batch of double fudge brownies.

Words cannot describe how well that worked.

44. OK, now I'm drooling!
I don't have a Trader Joe's nearby, but I think I can make it work. I have guests coming for Labor Day weekend, brownies (Ghiradelli triple chocolate) with key lime icing will be the summer-ending dessert!
