Ladies and Gentlemen,I bring you Friday Evening with the Indigo Girls and Melissa Ferrick

The show opened with Melissa Ferrick. I'd heard a few of her songs, but never seen her live. . . great performance, very talented lady:







Sarah Lee joined her (and the Indigo Girls) on stage for af ew songs. Sarah is a great bassist who has done a lot of solo work and has played bass for a lot of folks (Ani Difranco being the first one that comes to mind)





The Indigo Girls should need no introduction. All in all, it was a great performance, outdoors,in a small venue, with beautiful weather. Last year at the same place (Boarding House Park in Lowell, MA), they got rained out halfway through the show. We were all very bummed. This year, it looked like they might get rained out for about 1 minute when for no apparent reason, raindrops began to fall .. . for all of 1 minute, huge raindrops, then they vanished.

Anyway, enjoy the pics, I was only about three people back from the stage (not hard to do considering this park lets you drop off blankets, lawn chairs, etc. at any time during the day to reserve your seat . .. and I live in an apartment about 1 minute walk from the park (it's almost my front yard, I have to pass it to get to my car).



















I also have shots from seeing Bob Weir and Ratdog Review in the same venue last weekend, but haven't had time to sort through them yet, I'll post them when I get time.
