1. Three sober weekends in a row
I guess that's pretty good for me anyway. I had to quit drinking fizzy stuff due to a bladder problem so there goes my beer. I only drink water now. Kinda boring, but I guess I feel a little better.

2. Went to the beach, a perfect weekend
Ocean was great. Went out to dinner. Coconut martinis. Saw Little River Band and Air Supply in concert. Had my favorite pizza. Ice cream. Played skiball. Won a magnetic chess set with my arcade tickets. Went out to breakfast. Made a giant alligator in the sand. Played scrabble in my beach chair. Sigh.

3. My fiancee had her bridal shower
My parents came to town because my mom wanted to go to the shower. While she was there, my dad and I went to the driving range and he taught me how to hit a golf ball.

Great weekend.

4. I had a nice weekend
Went to the Pinnacles and hiked on Saturday. Stopped on the way home at a Mexican restaurant and had a good dinner and two mango margaritas. Yesterday, hung out at home and relaxed. Had BBQ ribs, mac salad, baked beans and corn on the cob. Oh, and another mango margarita. :9

5. The Dannofoot Family!
Went to Cleveland...did the Rock & Roll Hall, and saw the debut of the Cleveland Browns' future, Brady Quinn!

Also ate at Lola's...can't stop dreaming of beef cheek pirogies!

The only sucky thing was driving home for 8 hours yesterday through torrential rain...my knuckles are still white.

10. Mine was good AND productive
A trip to the Farmers' Market in picture perfect weather for corn, tomatoes, peaches, and garlic. Three hours working in the garden and on the lawn on Saturday; mowed, trimmed, edged, weeded, cleared, and bagged. Saturday's dinner...mmmmm...barbecued ribs and fresh sweet corn, while watching the Lions actually win a game (hey, I know it's only preseason but we take what we can get around here). Sunday was an all day soaker which we desperately need and which gave me the perfect opportunity to wash all the laundry from vacation (why does it seems like those loads are twice as big?) and get the bedrooms ready for painting which is being done today.

I had to come back to work to relax! And relax I am -- we have no email until Wednesday...grrrr.

11. I had a great weekend!
My brother and I went down to Wildwood, NJ and did the waterparks there on Friday, Saturday it was the picture perfect family day with my niece and nephew on the boardwalk at Seaside, NJ.

I had a kick-ass margarita on Saturday, and a few vodka and tonics throughout the weekend.

12. I had an amazingly productive weekend
did a lot of cooking (and therefore a lot of dishes)
did a lot of laundry
got rid of a lot of cardboard and old tires at the recycling center
cleaned my car
dusted and vacuumed the living room
hung curtains in my son's room

got to bed early both nights and managed to get up early for the gym this morning.

beat me at chess! :blush::dunce:

17. He is. I beat him three games out of four. But he's seven, for Pete's sake. I can't exactly crow
about winning those three. Man, he beat me out of sight! I was two moves away from mating his king; I had him cornered with my bishop and my rook. He came out of nowhere with his queen, captured my queen and mated my king in ONE MOVE! I'm an idiot. I should have seen it coming a mile away. I underestimated him. He still has trouble remembering how the knights and pawns move. But he remebered how the queen moves, that's for sure!

But we had a cold, nasty, wet Sunday. It's still raining today with flash flood warnings. Yikes!
