Please go to:

http://travel.webshots.com/slideshow/560330351uppTHN

This will take you to a slideshow of the photos.

You can change the length of time each slide is held by bringing your cursor to the bottom of a photo. 3 seconds is probably the best. There are 343 photos of many subjects such as the Marin County Civic Center (conceived by Frank Lloyd Wright), Muir Woods, Fisherman's Wharf including Pier 39, Jack London State Park, and a variety of art work along the way.

You do not need to join Webshots to see this show. If you have any comments, please let us know.

Enjoy!

4. I sat through and throughly enjoyed your slide show
I grew up in Marin County and your photos brought back many memories. As a child, I watched the Civic Center being built (the first phase), and even honed my early sailing skills on that lagoon (back in my days it was entirely undeveloped with mucky mud banks all around).

I had Cub scout meeting's at the Head Rangers house at Muir Woods (ranger's son was a classmate on mine), and learned many secrets to include secret paths, and the best locations for watching the Salmon spawn in the fall, and huge burls on the redwood trees in areas that the public weren't allowed to visit (totally pristine area with no discernible paths)

My Godfather was a friend of Jack London's widow (Charmian?) and was given a copy of original plans to the Wolf House for a high school project - to redesign a new house for the existing foundation. WWII interrupted those plans, and nothing ever became of it. He had some pretty lofty ideas back in those days, and maybe it's best they never attempted his ambitious plan.

Thank you for the tour of my old stomping grounds.

The original design of the Wolf House was quite astounding.

You are right about his wife's name -- it was Charmian.

The park ranger on duty the day we visited said that Jack London never really recovered from the tragic loss of that beautiful property, which appeared to be spontaneous ignition of rags that workmen used with linseed oil to finish interior cabinets.

9. Thank you so much.
We'll save these. Brought back great memories of our honeymoon and first married year--way back when--living in San Rafael and enjoying the sights around every corner. We go back fairly often, and you have probably sped up the next trip!
