I made a fantastic spicy chicken stir fry tonight ! what did you folks have?

This was chicken breast, zuchinni, mushrooms,bean sprouts,snow peas,scallions, carrots, hot thai chilies, garlic, ginger, tamari, and some wide oriental noodles.

It is one of my better efforts, and nice and hot, too.

But will indulge in some delectable lemon chiffon lite ice cream later!!

When do you get back, and when does Dr Depose get back?

Got home last night (Tuesday). I hated to leave, but am happy to be with the kitties again. Mr. DTBK's plane has just left Karachi for Dubai, and he's due into DFW around 6:15 tomorrow evening. I haven't talked to him for several days and am extremely anxious to see him and hear about all his adventures!

We must get together soon!

The DU locals definitely need a meetup, we are long overdue. We found a great seafood place in Grand Prairie, fairly centrally located..

I am game for just about anything, my husband is on a long oil well assignment in Utah and Colorado, and I have a membership in the Modern and the Kimball museums. I can get up to 4 tickets to events at the Kimball, and maybe also the Modern. I know I can get one other person in free.

Also I want to see that Pompeii thing that just opened at the DMA. Now that would be an excellent get together..have you been to that museum? It is excellent. I have not seen the entire permanent collection yet. I am really busy this weekend and next week is Labor Day but after that, I am pretty free.

Think about it, anyway.

Alas, for my low-carb requirements, I had a salad. :puke: (But I did steal one of MG Jr.'s fudge stripe cookies with my cup of chai later...)

Where did you find the hot thai chilies?

any size Asian community in your area, you can get them there. Love those hot thai chiles. However I will use jalapeno or serrano if I can't find the thai ones. Or crushed red pepper flakes if I am totally desperate

Shitty pizza but it was 5.99$ for a large two-topping.

Not on the blue list that's for sure.

but sometimes you just gotta have pizza, right? I am lucky to have a non franchise place near by where I can buy a slice and it is damn good pizza. Don't know the guy's politics and don't want to know; he is non corporate, local, and makes a fine product. At least he saves me from Pizza Hut, Domino's and Papa John's!

Delicious by itself, but I still say that beet salad should be served with total animal soup.
