Seriously - how 3rd grade is it to tell another DUer you're putting them on ignore
Clearly I've been posting in GD/GDP. Nothing shows immaturity more than telling another poster you're pissed at them for *gasp* expressing an opinion and that you're gonna put them on ignore.
Sad thing is - they only had heard one side of the story. If they heard even a portion of my side they would have realized I was the sane one of the group
all it takes is an opinion. It bugged me the first time it happened to me especially because it was someone I had no intention of bothering much less speaking to.. but now it's nothing but pathetic. If someone was wasting time telling how great GWBush is all day long then maybe I'd ignore them, but ignoring people because they don't agree with them is what dumb people do.
19. I don't understand it, but I guess that some people use it as a way of saying

"don't bother to reply anymore because I won't read it." It's happened to me a few times and it's usually after the poster has been venting spleen rather than trying to engage in a discussion. Not everyone uses it that way -- sometimes it seems to be more akin to alerting. I don't feel any satisfaction by announcing the fact that I'm clicking either the Ignore or Alert buttons but some of our fellow DUers do seem to like doing so.
