And Now... Henry VIII's suit of armour!

You can actually buy full size replicas of the codpiece at the Tower of London.

1. It's scarier in person.
I've seen it.

2. I got a funny story about seeing it in person, too.
Ok, the first time I saw it, I busted out laughing at the codpiece. I figured that I had to photograph it. This poses a problem. One, the lighting in the tower stinks on ice, and two, I didn't want to pop my flash because of the glass. So, I opened up the aperture as far as it would go, and slowed down the shutter speed to 1/4 of a second.

There I am, trying to hold absolutley still, all the while trying to stifle my laughter when I hear a guy behind me say:

"Bloody hell, that's not a codpiece, that's a whalepiece!"

I was practically doubled over with laughter, unable to shoot for at least five minutes.

I need a digital SLR so I can slap polarizing filters for shooting things behind glass.

Both wishful thinking.
