1. We had a heat advisory until midnight last night.
It was horrible. I took three showers last night just to cool down a bit.

Make tropical drinks and find a beach screensaver. :P

2. If it wasn't so hot, I'd actually go to the beach!
:P

I just showered and left my hair wet...Hopefully the AC will hold for the duration.

:hi:

5. Our AC is on the roof of our apartment building.
It just cannot hold up during the extreme heat. Running the AC actually made it hotter in here yesterday.

I'm so glad it's cooler today.

Still, the tropical drinks couldn't hurt! ;)

3. They posted an air quality warning
...for Manchester and Nashua.

I was planning on knocking on doors all afternoon (I'm running for alderman in next month's primary), but this complicates things. I'll definitely stop by the African-Carribean Festival, but after that I am going to play it by ear.

4. Yeah, supposed to be hot up there too, check this out:
"THERE IS A LOW PROBABILITY THAT THIS ADVISORY WILL NEED TO BE
UPGRADED TO AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING FOR HARTFORD COUNTY
CONNECTICUT AND THE REGION BETWEEN BOSTON AND NASHUA. IT IS HERE
THAT HEAT INDICES MAY RISE BRIEFLY TO 105 DEGREES THIS AFTERNOON."

6. Oh, joy
I thought I left this crap behind when I moved back up north! Then again, when I saw the news clips about the week of 100+ temps in Arkansas, Tennessee and Oklahoma, I did feel a slight twinge of smug satisfaction.

7. Ice cubes and a plant mister.
That's how I got through that sort of Boston day. Sounds yucky.

We haven't had really hot weather since June (knocks on wooden head.) We are getting some slightly hotter than expected weather but we have our famous night time cooling to dampen the effect.

Would you like me to PM a can of fog-chilled morning air?
