22. They are very good screws.
The screws require no predrilling and are pullout resistant.

That is what it says on box.

29. So they never are "pullout resistant"
that is either very good, or very bad depending if you ever need to pull out...

35. I like bugle head screws because I hate to pre-drill.
If you have to pre-drill before screwing that slows down the job.

I had to put up a lot of drywall, that would have been a lot of pre-drilling.

37. But sometimes pre-drilling is a good thing isn't it?
i mean, i understand what you are saying it all depends on the screw i guess.

bugle head screws go right in without pre drilling so they are good for getting down to business.

43. Yes.
When you put up many sheets of drywall you do a lot of screwing.

The screwing goes fast but it can take all day to finish.

45. so it's good to do a lot of screwing when you
put up many sheets of drywall.

actually i have done some drywall work, and there is a lot of screwing. Did some screwing in the kitchen that required a lot of awkward positions even, and lifts, and near acrobatics once, but did a lot of screwing that day.

:evilgrin:

we are talking about drywall aren't we?

47. I really hate putting up drywall but somebody had to do it.
I had some awkward places to screw in the drywall.

My neck still hurts.

It is a good skill to have, save a lot of money doing it youself.

54. If I would have payed for a crew to come in to put up drywall, it would have
very expensive.

My first job out of high school was painting apartments and fixing the drywall if damaged.

I will never paint a wall white, not after that job.

to screw though?

I think that saving the money and getting to do the screwing yourself is well worth it even though it is a lot of work.

115. I rented two extra drills so we had a lot of screwing going on.
Dry wall work is easy, but damn we used a lot of screws.

I was really tired that night, doing all that lifting and screwing gets you in the back, arms and neck.

That made the work go faster and it saved us a another day's work.

I do not want to do dry wall work again for a long time.

Those are...

rings.

Something rings

I forget what.

I think it begins with a 'k'.

'k'-something rings.

It's a short word, one syllable.

'k'-something rings.

Maybe four letters?

'k***'-ring

Or maybe it's a hard 'c' instead of 'k'.

'c***'-ring.

Oh, well, I'll work on it.

Oh, yeah, going to hell for this one, all right!

Might be embarrasing walking into the office on Monday...

Boss: SPK, what the hell's wrong with your pants?

SPK: Um, nothing, I think. Did I spill something on them?

Looks down at his slacks in massive bewilderment

Boss: SPK, why is your periscope up?

SPK: (looking highly offended) Why are you noticing my 'periscope'? This sounds like sexual harassment to me!

Boss: Because I caught you with your 'pericope' pressed up against the copier last Friday, remember?

SPK: (feigns innocence) I have no idea what you're talking about. I will not stand for these baseless and mean-spiritued attacks on my character! This is defamement! This is libel! This is---

Boss points wordlessly to 18 different photocopies displayed throughout the office

SPK: Oh, those photocopies. (pauses) Well, what can I say? Swedish Enlarger Pumps do, in fact, work, and I wanted to share the news.

Boss: In my office, now!

SPK: Trust me, sir, that won't take care of my periscope. I've tried beating it into submission all weekend!

Boss grabs SPK by the scruff of this neck and marches him off-screen

SPK: Hey! You can't do this to me! Attica! Attica! Attica!

Voices fade as Boss and SPK go into Boss' office. Sound of door slamming. Fade to black.

I owe it all to a guy named Chuck Seggelin
He used to write an R-rated "Star Trek" parody in the form of a screenplay. On the Series of Tubes. I've re-read all 10 epidodes literally dozens of times.

I'd be sitting in my college drom room, alone, TV off, radio off, only a single desk lamp on, door open, and randomly laughing out loud. People would check in on me to make sure I was okay!

An example:

From "Episode 4: Reconsillyation"

<snip>

Cut to shot of the Denterprise entering orbit around Theta-Eta-Beta-8, an earth like planet.
Flashing in the upper atmosphere is the neon message "Your Ad Here, Seamy Advertising, 1-
800-241-1701".

JERK:
{voice-over}
Captain's Log, stardate 2169.3867. We have entered a high orbit around Grata-Data-Waiterwhatever
the heck it is, and are preparing a landing party.

Cut to bridge. The entire bridge compliment is present including Lavoy, a red shirt, and Janice
Rammed who is handing Jim a data pad.

JERK:
{takes pad, thumbprints it, and hands it back to her}
Thank you Yeoman.
{to Spaz}
Who would you recommend for a party Spaz?

LAVOY:
I got one going at Lisa's tonight if anybody's looking for a good time. We're gonna have a
band, drugs, drinks--

JERK:
Uh, Stones?

LAVOY:
chicks mud wrestling, sword swallowing--

JERK:
Stones.

LAVOY:
hot oil orgies--

JERK:
Stones, that's not what I meant.

LAVOY:
Oh. Forget it then.

JERK:
So Spaz, who would you recommend?

SPAZ:
Well this would be a first contact mission... so you and I should be there.

JERK:
Mm-hmm.

SPAZ:
Bring along our esteemed but unforgiving communications officer Tumora to record the
event as it unfolds.

TUMORA:
Hmph.

SPAZ:
We should bring along an expendable red shirt character in case the plot calls for someone to
die.
{to the red shirt at the door}
You there crewman, what's your name?

SEEMEE:
Nowyu Seemee, Sir, security guard second class.

SPAZ:
Perfect. Oh and we need Lavoy.

LAVOY:
Me? What for?

SPAZ:
To say "He's dead Jim" when Seemee buys it.

LAVOY:
Fuck that! I got a party to plan. He's dead Jim. There I said it in advance.
{he goes to leave}

SPAZ:
Mr. Seemee, please detain the doctor.

SEEMEE:
Yes sir.
{he grabs Lavoy and clubs him}

LAVOY:
Ow! Why you little pissant, I oughta kill ya myself!

SPAZ:
Mr. Seemee, just hold him, don't kill him, please?

SEEMEE:
Yes sir.
