I'm still at work
and I have SO much to do. But if I look at one more power point slide, I'm gonna cry or otherwise freak out.

And yet, I'm stuck here for another 2 hours. :banghead:

Did I mention that I REALLY need to work on this? But that I can't make myself do it any more tonight?

Yeah.

So.

Entertain me.

Or something.

*sigh*

1. You have my sympathies
but there really isn't much going on at home (at least at my house). If I were there, I'd help you out. :)

3. Ah thanks!
There's nothing going on at my house either, but my brain is fried for some reason.

I think I have a case of the Monday's.

11. If you can, watch this
I'm a huge fan of Madtv and this never fails to make me laugh. It is a nice, albeit lowbrow, diversion that may help repair your fried brain.

Not sure what kind of sense of humour you have, but it is pretty harmless (and amusing).

15. I actually can't watch it
unfortunately. I'm stuck at a computer that's in a rather public place...and doesn't have speakers. x(

I don't know much about entertaining, but here's me with two of my step-kids.

8. They look like good kids!
I've always wanted a sweet, big dog.

Someday, when I have a yard... (translation: when I no longer live in Los Angeles)

9. You'd leave LA?
:o

I'll be sharing a house with 3 kitties, a dog, a bird and 2 sugar gliders. Little did I know I'd be inheriting a zoo. I'd almost rather Madrone had a kid - might be easier and cheaper. ;)

10. Yeah, someday.
I'm assuming at some point I'll want to own the structure I'm living in. That's not gonna happen here. Alas.

Good lord. You're going to fit all that into your little house?! A zoo, indeed!

12. Her house is about as small, so it CAN be done.
We will be exploring larger quarters at some point, after we've built up some more equity.

I have 3 cats and a roommate in a fairly tiny 2-bedroom apartment.

It just requires attention to cleaning. ;)

Well, the litter box stays clean. But the sheer volume of pet hair...the horror. :scared:

17. Yeah, that sucks.
Not gonna lie.

I sweep every other day just to keep the situation from being critical. And the kitten doesn't even shed yet!

I'm blaming it on our ultra-cold (by LA standards) winter. They didn't get coats this thick the year before.

But really, the litter box is more important. By far.

20. Are they outside animals?
Or, well...the cats and dog, anyway? Cuz if so, that might be a BIG adjustment.

Especially in the summer. Ugh.

Though I think animals are far more adaptive than we are.

24. No, they all stay inside.
Bodhi is crate-trained. There is plenty of tile for them all to lay on and stay cool. What will suck is not being able to take Bodhi anywhere we go and leave him in the car while we do whatever we do. He's so good about being in the car. What is nice is that a lot of restaurants here have animal-friendly areas.

at least not 9 months out of the year!

I would think Austin would have some great dog parks though. Hippie city that it is. ;)

25. ugh power point...
Happily I don't have to deal with that (for the most part) for my job, although I know plenty who do and they hate it too.
Maybe you can visualize all the trouble Kyra is getting into while you are away? Its truly amazing what a kitten can get into and it sounds like you got a little devil indeed...I still get "surprised" on occasion by my crew..here's a lolcat that kind of illustrates that....

I try not to think about what Kyra is up to. Though hopefully she's not sleeping. Because if she is, I won't be doing much of that later. ;)

Power Points, unfortunately, are a necessary evil. It's almost impossible to teach what I do without them. x(

when I am subjected to a power point presentation/training session about our online database of SOP's and other controlled documents. UGH! Now that will truly be boring. How anyone can make a living doing document control is waaaay beyond me....

the boredom in American workplaces.

If you're stuck with PowerPoint, there's no hope for you.

30. That's so true
Unfortunately, it's a must-have. There's really no way to teach students about online databases like Westlaw and Lexis without it.

Unless I was going to log on and walk them through it live, and that's just scary. I don't trust technology that much! ;)

8:15 tomorrow morning.
Didn't get home until after 11 tonight.

You've got my sympathies...Lexis/Westlaw training can be painful. I can't imagine teaching it.
