Heard about it on Anthony Bourdain's show last year.

1. Lobster
I had the best 'fresh' lobster 10Sep 2001, one of my clients flew in from Boston
and brought 8 2pound lobster for us to cook, fresh.
The BEST I have ever tasted, and the next day......well you know what happened......:hi:

5. You learned well the simple lesson of eating lobster!

:o

We learned well the simple lesson of buying a GIANT summer sausage on October 17, 1989.

We ate off that thing for the better part of a week. :P

(and on edit: the joke is from SNL circa 1990: Bush Sr says (re: Iraq): "It's not gonna be another Vietnam. We learned well the simple lesson of Vietnam: Stay out of Vietnam! :o ")

2. Maine lobster rules
I've only had Maine lobster, and Puerto Nuevo (Baja Mexico) lobster. One has meat in the claws, one doesn't. One is good, the other is bad. You get the point. I have half a mind to fly out some Maine lobster to San Diego, but aren't sure if those things are legit.

4. Fremont St. is uber-cool.
I was there on Christmas Eve last year celebrating the holiest night of the year by watching bikini-clad women riding a mechanical bull and playing the slots. The only downer was when this fundy chic started following us around on the street.

6. I have lived here for eight years and have gone to Fremont only a couple of times.
It has really been cleaned up.
