I know there are rules about bringing disagreements from other threads *into* other threads, but since you are the one joking about an exchange I was part of in another thread, I just think you should maybe re-read the thread you are joking about. The only reason I said anything about how long I had been here was because I thought Midlodemocrat was using the amount of time I had been here as a reason to discount my opinion, which I thought was ridiculous. (And she clarified, in her next post, that that wasn't the point that she was making.) I think I made clear that the amount of time someone has been on this board does not matter to me, and I regret if I am coming off as defensive but I just hate the idea of being considered to be someone who would attack someone on that account because those sort of attacks (you know "Oh, and you only have 50 posts, you must be a FReeper!") and those who make those sort of assumptions have always pissed me off. I understand wanting to defend someone you consider a friend, but I'd appreciate it if you would't distort something that I said, in order to do it.

Some major, major projects going on. But school starts on Tuesday, so I will be able to work from 7AM to 2:30 without anyone bugging me to drive them to the pool or take them out to eat or to play golf or to the movies.

Gets so that I have to work nights during the summer to catch up, so I'm kind of looking forward to Tuesday.

Plus, I wasn't sure how BabyMidlo's friends' parents would feel about her driving, so I just did it.

I don't mind at all. It just makes keeping your focus more difficult. The alternative, not being here and being in an office or traveling and not seeing them would be much harder for me. I'm very attached to them.
