Lost My Dad

That's why I have been away from here for over a week, he passed away August 25.

He was a Korean war Vet, Twice awarded the Purple Heart among a host of other decorations, an over the road truck driver, diehard Teamster, a good Democrat and most of all, he was my Dad.

He disliked Bush, but he despised Cheney....

I will miss him.... :(

I know how you feel--I lost my dad in '03. WWII vet and very quiet, easygoing mensch of a guy. I still miss him, but it gets easier a bit at a time. :hug:

Lost my Father a few years back . . . and my Mother a few years after that.

Took me a year to get over each . . .

I used to call my Mother each week on Sunday morning. Even though she has now been gone for several years, I still get that urge to call her on Sunday mornings.

Yes - you will miss him. He sounds like a good guy . . . we need more like this . . .
