I'm watching The King and I
for the twentieth time, I guess. I just love this flick!

I saw it on Broadway - Brynner's last time doing it.

4. Did she have a good singing voice?
Edited on Fri Sep-07-07 10:53 AM by barb162
I didn't know she sang at all. I guess I can only imagine the Marni Nixon voice /Deborah Kerr version of the movie.

7. I love "The King and I"
One of my favorite Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals.

Even though she didn't sing in the movie, Deborah Kerr is wonderful, as always.

8. Yul Brynner always did so well playing Asian roles,
I was surprised to learn that ethnically speaking, he was Siberian. Technically Asian, but you know what I mean.

Great actor. A force of nature.
