2. Kinda depends on my mood, lately I've been thinking about a Lentil dinner my mother used to make, lentils in tomato sauce poured over mashed potatoes and pork chops. Pulled pork with greens and beans is good too. :)

This needs a bit of explanation. I'm not in the pic, this is my son finishing a hike we did over Labor Day Weekend. It was a 10 mile hike over Mt Liberty and Mt Flume in Franconia Notch (Part of NH White Mountains). He needs new boots but I didn't realize that before the hike, consequently on the way down he had to put up with his toes being smashed and bruised, painful to be sure. But he soldiered through it, it slowed him a bit but he continued to talk about how much he enjoyed the hike that we'd done and didn't really complain (other than the occasional exclamation of ouch! when his toes got a particularly bad bang). So this pic represents a very happy moment for me as a proud Dad. I've been taking him on hikes for several years now and this is the first time he's had to deal with this type of injury and he dealt with it with maturity and good humor.

1. I'd like to re-visit Germany someday. I was stationed there in the Army, and absolutely loved it. Beautiful country.
2. Caesar Salad, Cold English Cucumber soup, Lamb roast with mint sauce, garlic red-baby mashed potatoes, asparagus, Key Lime Pie for dessert, and a cheese platter served with the after-dinner aperitifs. Fruit, brandy and conversation later.

I took the picture but it was a happy moment. I was with my parents and my kids and had just eating some yummy food.
