OK, can someone give advice on planes/airlines?
I haven't traveled in a while...
I have a choice between United and Frontier airlines for one leg of the journey, and the planes seem to be Airbus A318, A319 or A320. The Frontier flight has better times, but I don't know much about the airline.

Anyone have any suggestions?

3. go with frontier
it's been awhile since i've flown united but (other than international flights) it sucks. frontier has the same drink service but you get a bit more than a crummy little bag of horrible snack mix or something as a snack. big bags of chips, pretzels, trail mix, animal crackers, etc.

they also have in-flight tv. it's $5 but, for me, it's worth it and half the time they wind up giving it to everyone for free. the staff is always pleasant and, at least to me, it seems there's a bit more leg room (but don't take my word on that, like i said, it's been some time since i flew on united).

plus, they have the cute animals on the planes :D

where are you going?

6. atlanta to san diego...
pass thru in Denver. United would take me from Atlanta to Charlotte, then on to San Diego, which seems stupid.

OK, Frontier sounds pretty good, then...

7. dia is my 'home' airport
it's easy to navigate and doesn't take too long if you need to get to a different concourse

my only complaint about dia is that they don't have free wifi x( but, unlike most other airports, they still have a smoking lounge (don't know if you're a smoker or not, but that's always something i try to find out)

have a great trip :hi:

8. thanks for the info!
not a smoker, but I don't like the way so many smokers are ostracized... having an entire facility be smoke free seems ridiculous.

:hi:

4. i fly on United about 4-6 times a year, the international flights are better than their domestic
flights imo, if it's domestic i would pick another airline. you can check the airbus website and if will give the cabin configuration for each plane.

10. Yeah, take a bus or train.
Last time I was on a plane was over 10 years ago; the longest 3 hours of my life. :scared:

11. This site is excellent:
www.seatguru.com. Tells you how much legroom each type of aircraft has, plus it rates each seat (some don't recline, some are near the lavatory, some have a couple extra inches legroom, etc.). Helps when you're making your reservation and selecting your seat.
