How many televisions are too many?
We have six in this house! Sometimes, there are three turned on all at once! And, most of the time they're all turned on to the same channel-but, not always.

At the moment, we're listening to / watching "Kiss me Kate" on three televisions!!! Plus, I'm posting on DU!

But, there's only 2 of us! And, we're in different rooms!

Why do we (some of us) all have so many TVs?!?

And, we just bought one of those plasma thingies...and, I don't have a clue about how to operate the damn thing!

But, our dear dog loves listening to musicals.

Are we the only ones? How many TVs do you have? (If any)

:silly:

1. We have so many tv's because we can.
I only own two, however, one in my room and one in the livingroom.

No need for so many.

2. How many are two many? I dunno, "one".
I went without TV for years. It was great. New we have three. Onis in our bathroom, if you can believe that. Previous owners had a cable connection and auxilliary speakers installed in the Master Bathroom, fer cryin' out loud! Might go without it again, depending on how my domestic situation pans out.

3. One (but no cable or antenna)
I think one is too many, actually. (I'm a grad student, i.e. academic in training, and none of watch much TV anyway.) I just love films, so I had to buy a DVD player.

If and when I have children, I won't have a television. It stunts the imagination.

4. We have 4
for two people. I don't think they have ever been on at the same time.

My husband has been working in another city since November and I have only turned on the TV once since he's been gone.

5. There are three in my house....
...and there's only me. I even have a tv in the garage. My husband used to watch tv when he was working on the cars. So sometimes when I wash the car I have it on. So you could have one in every room and it wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. The bad thing would be if you watched the boob tube 24/7.

6. We are a family of four
There are tv's in the bedrooms, one in the kitchen, one by the computer and one in the den. That makes six. And the funny thing about it is there's nothing worth watching.

I threw my TV in the dumpster 6 years ago, and it was one of the best damned things I ever did.

You have no idea how much your life will change for the better when you don't have that trashbox around.
