4 months old, bites a bit but can be taught not to, and hilarious as hell.

I have one other parrot already, but should I spend the money, what having just bought a laptop so I can write my stories in places other than home?

(thx for any advice you may want to give  )

2. If you have the means to give him a good home......
goferit. :)

I just fell in love with Murphee and had to get her. I only visited her at the pet store a dozen times before I bought her. :) (I never had a bird before and wanted to do some research on them)

3. and he's loud too
I mean he/she will be really, really loud.

I had one and wanted to set it free in the middle of the night when it would start screaming his ass off.. I sold him back to the store after about 3 months with no sleep...

Good luck.

Get earplugs.

6. Well, I hate to be the practical one here...
BUT, why don't you sleep on it and see how you feel in the morning. It's not the money I'm talking about, but any time you make a lifetime commitment to a pet, it really shouldn't be an impulse buy. You know what I mean.

Go for it in the morning if you're still thinking about her.

7. I looked at her yesterday and played for 20 minutes...
She did bite at times but was otherwise surprisingly calm with me. (being 4 months old, the biting was due to nervousness and not knowing its limits.)

When a parrot shows calm, such as preening itself while perched on your finger, it is a good sign.

But you're right. It's bordering on impulse purchase, I already have a parrot who has charms of her own, and I've got more pressing needs.

8. Hey if its really really loud
it will bother your writing.....
if its beautiful it might inspire you....
Remember the initial cost isn't the only expense
you have to feed it and keep it healthy and the upkeep....

hope you make the right choice

9. Please check out MAARS first

There are plenty of birds that need adoption.
