1. I was in a fashion show when I was about 7.
 I still don't know why on earth they picked me - I looked kind of like Olive Hoover from Little Miss Sunshine, only with shorter hair and not nearly as cute.

I think the big one for me, though, was appearing on a brochure about ten years ago. :D You can't even really tell it's me, but there I am with my family (I'm in the yellow shirt):

6. Only in an extremely local way
I made the front page of my hometown newspaper in high school for leading a protest walkout there. :)

And I made it again the following week for participating in our school's annual "Model Congress." Which was kind of a funny story - an irate citizen had written a LTTE to complain about the protest being featured while other students in the Model Congress were "learning to work within the system."

So the same journalist who had covered the walkout (a wonderful rabble-rousing liberal) came to the school and purposely chose my table to photograph for a front-page article on said Model Congress.

She captioned it, "Learning to work within the system."

17. It depends on what you consider to be famous
I was a well known runner during my high school career and held the school records in the 3200m and cross country for 5 years after I had graduated.
In college, I think that I was involved enough and popular enough to be known by most of the students, faculty, and staff at my college even if it did have under 2,000 students.
I've been much more anonymous since then.

19. This is weird, but...
I was in a 1992 commercial for an Alabama State Senator's campaign. While I was at my job here in Canada.

The senator was buddies with my boss (they met in a Cayman Island luxury resort).

I was filmed while repairing a circuit board (they liked the smoke). Dramatic lighting, three takes

It was some kind of message about attracting technical companies. Totally fraudulent.

I was probably seen by MILLIONS of people... :D

24. I think so

It wasn't the most exciting 15 mins. ever, but I think I'm done.

I was a delegate for Sen. Kerry. As an Ohioan, we received a lot of media coverage. I've been interviewed by all the local news, BBC, C-Span, NewsHour, several international newscasts, a couple documentaries, a newspaper interview that was picked up by the AP. For awhile if you googled my name there were 1000s of hits. My 15 mins. had more to do with geography and the fact that other countries understand mid-west accents easily, but it was kind of fun. :)

However, I'll be happy to have a few more minutes, if it's ever an option.
