I'm building my first website...

and I would like to know where I can get some license-free pics to fill the empty spaces on the page.

Also, what is the protocol of putting a link to another page on your home page. For instance, can I put a link to DU.com on my page without an approval? Or is it more like a shout-out where I can just link it?

Free web content.

And as far as I know, you can link to any site you want without permission. After all, it's just a shortcut to typing the URL directly into the browser, and there's no way to stop people from doing that.

im still in the building process and haven't published it to the web yet. But when I do, I will PM you. I'm still deciding what direction to take it. Its fun, but a little daunting (EVERYBODY could see it :scared:).

4. If you own MS Office

you can always use graphics from there, or from their online graphics library, royalty-free, IIRC.

They're not much more than clip-art, but they will take up space on the page if that's your intent.

Pics and other intellectual property you have to be careful about.

You can search for Free pics of blank... just be very specific about what you want. You can just guess what typing in "free pics" only will get ya. ;)
