5. It is NOT dumbed down, but...
it is certainly a bastardized and extremely boring sport.

And even with all that padding, they still seem to get hurt more than in any other sport, except maybe boxing.

9. It's just a four hour committee meeting, punctuated by periodic violence.
The sport could be immeasurably improve by the placement of random landmines beneath the turf. That way, something exciting might occasionally happen.
