7. I can understand that.
There are some places one can be where there is no way being sick is going to stop you.

14. yes - got sick the night before my flight out of SFO to Paris . . .
sick the whole way over the pond....
after a couple of days I had a Dr. come to the hotel room and loaded me up with Prednisone, antibiotics, cough syrup, etc to keep me going.

I remember saying to him ....

"I HAVE to go to the Louvre" . . . as it was looming just outside the hotel window we had.

I remember dragging around my cough syrup through Versailles - nothing was gonna stop me. What a magnificent place Paris is.

2. My dear Bullwinkle...
Oh, how I wish I could go back to Paris!

It's the most beautiful city...

A photographer's dream!

And my French isn't too bad, after a week or so...

*sigh*

9. I just watched that
and if i didn't have a family...

I'd be on your "go to Paris list."

I was sipping a glass of vino, watching that couple look at the apartments --- The girl is amazingly pretty - The guy is sooooo gay. (don't kill me - it is my impression) When I saw they were buying in the 2nd district I wanted to scream... "Hey!!!! Take me too!"

What a great place --- Shhhh, I would have gone for the 3rd place with the strange circular layout - I loved the look of it -- I could be the prison guard in the center... Hey! You! Don't touch the TV!

Anyway-

I loved it.

12. Which apartment did you like?
I would have taken any of them but --- like I said, I really loved that last one. Something about the light and the rooms === I didn't like the 2nd one so much with no windows and only sky-lights -- there was NO view... Anyway - I digress...

Let's go.

15. Ooooh....Paris.
I was watching that episode last night too and I got all nostalgic and sad about the fact that I have to live here instead of Paris.

I've already informed my husband that if we win the lottery, we're moving to Paris and that's that.

BTW, I would have picked the 3rd apartment too...

22. They're mine, sweet.
I loved Paris so much when I went to school there. I'd sit outside, ANYWHERE I could, and draw the fauna. I especially liked those who read while they walked, or had their dogs with them.

Thank you so much, Bullwinkle.

25. Thank you so much, Bullwinkle. Those are
out of my Paris journal. I tried to pick up on the character of Paris when I was there. I may have done alright sketch- wise, but I defy anyone to describe the smell of the place. It's too perfect!

26. isn't it?
although when i went to Bend, OR a few times, I relished the smell of the pine trees and clear, fresh air. wandering through the neighborhoods of SF is nice too with all the different ethnic cooking smells.
i don't think my suburban town has it's own smell, though. unless we just become immune to it. wonder if the parisians are immune??

27. I saw a jaded kid once when I was at the Sorbonne.
He said, "Oooh, en france, tres bien." when he saw us. He must have been 10. So sarcastic.

Too bad. I tried to share it with my fellow travellers but they didn't think it was funny at all. They might have taken it personally. The thing I really like is that they KNOW they're living in one of the greatest cities in the world, so they make no pretention.

23. Count me in. Here's the apartment I hired last time I was there....
in The 1st. Would like to stay in The Marais next time. Or Isle St. Louis, of course.

And you crazy if you don't stay in an apartment....
