1. You omit choices...
...asexual and nonsexual.

Seeing as I am a non-sexual, I'd like that choice included, as Not Sure doesn't cover it...

2. The poster also omits those in love with alien species
Marriage should not be limited to human male with human female.

Spok's mother was human, but his father was Vulcan. Should we call Spok a bastard just because some Earthling bigots refused to recognize the marriage?

3. No, we should call him a bastard because he was
always so mean to Dr. McCoy.

They leave out some of the best quotes of the original series.

"You know what I think? I think this phaser works. And it just blew a hole in that wall. You want me to test my theory out on your head?"
Captain Pike

"I am attempting to build a mnemonic memory circuit using stone knives and bearskins." Spock

Spock: It looks like we are going to die.
Bones: A while back you said that there are always alternatives.
Spock (arches eyebrow): It seems I was mistaken.
Bones (muttering): At least I lived long enough to hear that.

Spock: I will have you checkmated on my next move.
Kirk: You are a very annoying chess player.
Spock: Annoyance? Ah, yes, one of your earth emotions.
Kirk (makes a winning move): Are you sure you don't know what annoyance is?

"You made a mistake. Carry out the prime directive!" Kirk to Nomad

"I don't like that. I don't think I ever did, and I am sure now." Spock to Bones

and of course, the classic

"He's dead, Jim"

I'd like an explanation of "nonsexual" as well.

7. I am assuming it is one who has no sexual attraction for anyone/anything.
It does seem a little strange, but I want to be fair...;-)

9. I know this will piss someone off, but I have to ask
How is it possible to be "not sure"?

Do you look at women and want to do the nasty with them, or do you look at men and want to do that. If neither of them turn you on, you must be non-sexual.

22. It's possible we may have some younger people . . .
. . . who aren't - well, *sure.*

On the other hand, sometimes I think it may be code for - "not willing to face the fact."

35. That's what I was thinking
I met several people in college that were unsure of their sexuality. There are some people who may have thought that they were heterosexual or homosexual that suddenly find themselves attracted to the same or opposite sex or have such a sexual experience that has made them reconsider their sexuality. Also, some people equate bi with meaning equal attraction to both genders and may be attracted to both genders but to different degrees.

10. Here's one for you
My former business partner was a man, was married, but (unknown to me) had been cross-dressing for a number of years.

He just recently underwent a sex-change operation, is *still* married (evidently his wife knew about him before they married, and she said "the door swings both ways for me!").

So what do you call a former male who liked women and who is now a woman who still likes women?

UNIX people are ostensibly sexual but can't get a date on a Saturday night. I myself am more OpenVMS. :)

31. Jeez, don't mention the "U" word!
I work on UNIX and OpenVMS. The DEC/Compaq/HP systems have been running like a charm for years. We'll probably keep them 2 or 3 years longer. The UNIX system requires constant care and fussing. This is considered progress in the IT biz.

34. Some OS's create sales. But not (Open)VMS.
I left Compaq when Rich Marcello, the VP of VMS,
stood up in front of us (the VMS engineering group)
and told us that his goal was to hold market-
share losses to 10%.

I was livid. "Losing 10%" might be the outcome,
but his damned goal should have been "Double
market share!". But if you PLAN to lose,
you can certainly bet on meeting your plan.

Very soon afterwards, I worked for a Sun Solaris
shop, and have never regretted it.

I lost my grandmother at 98, not that long ago. She was still driving cross-country in her 80s and I visited Russia with her when she was nearly 90. You have a lot of good miles to keep before you sleep. But, I agree, I get so very tired, as well.

My neighbor says he is autosexual!

BTW: I am lesbian and a lot of straight women have told me they wish they were gay. I believe they feel misunderstood by men.

I tell them it is no relationship panacea.
